Our store/ community space has been a part of the Temescal community since 2003.

The store was originally the brainchild of Rue Kreber-Mapp and her husband, who owned the store during its first year. Their good friend, Sally Amsbury, ran the store for 6 more years. In 2010, long time volunteer Chris Specker became owner, and she’s been running the store ever since.

Under Chris’s leadership, the store has become more community-oriented and more event-driven!

Here is a sweet local article about the store from one of our local papers Oaklandside

We also have many beloved volunteers and interns who run our events and keep our store afloat with their generosity and their many talents. We are always looking to grow our community, ask us how you can share your ideas, volunteer (we always need people to run games, contribute creatively, and get the word out), donate games to our library or run events!
